Hello, we’re Utility Warehouse

We help people take the faff out of their home services by putting everything on a single, great value monthly bill – including energy, broadband, mobile and insurance.

We're trusted by over a million customers and fully regulated by Ofgem, Ofcom, and the Financial Conduct Authority.

And not to toot our own horn, but we’re award-winning, too.

How we help people save time and money

Our unique multiservice offering lets customers pick the services they want and add them to their account, with just one password to remember.

The more services they take, the more they can save. In fact, they can save hundreds of pounds* if they switch to us.

We’ve been around for 30 years, and we’re super proud of our award-winning services (including our customer service – they’re a lovely bunch) and amazing offers.

Our history

We literally started out as a chat over a couple of pints.

Our parent company, Telecom Plus, was founded in 1996 and operated from a pub in Henley-on-Thames. But our ambitions didn’t keep us small for long – our business grew fast, and was soon listed on the London Stock Exchange and added to the FTSE 250 Index.

Telecom Plus’s flagship product was the Smart Box: a device that plugged into phone sockets to route calls to networks. Spotting an opportunity to provide a wider range of solutions to homes across the UK, Utility Warehouse was founded in Colindale, North London, in 2002 to bring affordable energy, broadband, and telephone services to customers.

Since then, we’ve launched the UW Foundation, which strives to make positive changes for the environment and local communities. And in March 2024, we reached our milestone target of helping more than one million customers save time and money on their home utility bills.

Two million, here we come!

Our mission

Put simply: we want to help people stop wasting time and money.

Our unique multiservice model takes away the hassle of our customers having bills and accounts for each individual utility. Instead, we’ve replaced them with one easy-to-understand bill that means our customers can spend their time on less boring things than bills.

For us, saving money isn’t just about bundling to get the cheapest deal. It’s also about bringing together a nation of self-starters who can run their own business and reach the goals that matter to them, all while helping their friends, family and communities save time and money with us, too. That’s why we’re committed to empowering our Partners to grow and succeed.

Our community of self-employed Partners are registered with us as licensed distributors of our services, giving them a way to make money when they refer new customers to switch to us. Our Partners receive a commission for every new customer sign-up, benefit from dedicated training and ongoing support, and have access to major head office-supported events every year.

How we’re giving back

UW Foundation

The UW Foundation’s primary aim is to have a positive impact on the environment and disadvantaged groups. Through the UWF we contribute to charitable initiatives and encourage our employees and Partners to give back through volunteering and charity fundraising, which can be matched by the UWF. We also support the planting of a new tree in the UK for every new UW customer, taking three or more core services and when a UW employee reaches their fifth anniversary with us.

Smart Ways to Save with UW

The UW Cashback Card

Our customers can earn up to 10% cashback on everyday spending at our retail partners, with the money going towards their monthly UW bill. Over 430,000 Cashback Card holders have saved an average of £440 a year.

Our Price Pledge

In 2024, we launched our Price Pledge commitment. It’s a money-saving promise to our new customers who switch three or more services and sign up for our Cashback Card. If you don’t save by switching in your first year with us, we’ll pay you double the difference, and you can leave without exit fees. T&Cs apply.

A word from our CEO

“We are delighted to have delivered another year of record customer numbers, all through helping households stop wasting time and money. Our unique multiservice model means we can continue to provide market-leading savings and sustainably outcompete within each of our core markets. At the same time, the additional income opportunity we provide to Partners for recommending UW to their friends and family has never been more in demand.

With the business in such good health, and having passed through the 1 million customer milestone, our current rate of growth places us firmly on track to double the size of the business to two million customers over the medium term."

My land line phone

I had reassuring advice about the need to opt for fibre optic cabling instead of copper and the likelihood that I would be able to keep my landline phone for some considerable time

Worth the wait

The friendliness and helpfulness of the adviser I spoke to. He was able to explain the issue with broadband speed. My only slight gripe was the time it takes to get through. I tried three times.
